When turning on the unit, no activity occurs after displaying the message “Initializing Image MASSter, please wait”.

Answer:

This indicates that the initialization process is unable to read and load the necessary start up files from the unit’s storage media.  The following is recommended:

a.      Power cycle the unit OFF and ON.  Wait a few minutes between power cycles.

b.      The unit’s program file may be corrupted.  Follow the unit’s “Serial Port Software Upgrade” instructions to restore the unit’s program file.  The instructions are available in the User’s Guide or can be downloaded from the ICS Web Site.

c.      Contact ICS Technical Support for additional instructions.

d.   For unit’s using a diskette as it’s storage media, verify the following:

1.     Check that the correct diskette is properly installed in the floppy drive.  The diskette should have a label indicating “Standalone”.

2.    Verify if the “Standalone Program” diskette is bootable and readable from a PC.  If it is non-bootable the PC will display an error message such as “Non-System Disk”

3.    Re-create the “Standalone Program” diskette using the appropriate disk image file available on the ICS Web Site.
