Law Enforcement Agencies in the United States have begun to realize in the mid nineties the surge in a new kind of crime due to the rapid advance in technology. Computer Crime has started to emerge as the fastest growing felony of the new century, and new tools were needed to fight it.
 The two major solutions to counter the problem of Computer Crime have been originally created in the United States around that time. They involved software, which would be able to analyze the data from the suspects’ hard drive, as well as acquisition tools to enable the copy of such hard drives in a high speed, in order to eliminate the alteration or distraction of the original evidence.

The Image MASSter Solo 3 Forensic is the latest generation of ICS hand held forensic unit that is being used by investigators to copy suspects’ hard drives in the field in a very high speed while verifying the integrity of the evidence hard drive. The Image MASSter Solo 3 Forensic was developed after the IMSolo 1 and the IMSolo 2 Forensic, older versions of this unit and is integrating all the newest features available today to acquire data reliably and in high speed. The Image MASSter Solo 3 Forensic acquire the data with MD5 hashing to verify the integrity of the evidence hard drive in speed of 3gb per minute, and has additional features that makes it, basically, an inclusive acquisition device that needs no other accessories.
The Link MASSter Forensic has been developed to enable forensic investigators to capture data while not having access to the suspect’s hard drive, as is the case with some laptops or PCs. The suspect’s computer is being booted with ICS’ CD and proprietary software to eliminate any modification of the original hard drive, and this is being followed by a bit-by-bit, hashed seizure of the entire suspect’s hard drive.
Road MASSter 2 is another sophisticated unit that was developed per the special challenges facing the Computer Investigator today. Succeeding the Road MASSter 1, a complete solution for acquiring and analyzing suspect’s data in one complete, compact package; it is built with the most advanced technology available at present, for the fastest seizure and analysis, and offers a unique solution for the field or labs’ requirement.
ICS Wipe MASSter is a Forensic Unit that was designed to erase and sanitize hard drives to ensure that they have no traces of previous data. The system’s intuitive menu provides the flexibility to choose from a simple pattern-based scan to the most complex DOD procedure and options to sanitize the Hidden Partition on any hard drive.
An essential tool for the Computer Forensic Community is the Write Protection Device that guarantees that no modification of the suspect’s hard drive can occur while duplicating or viewing it.
