Intelligent Computer Solutions' (ICS) Ultimate Portable Forensics Evidence
Seizure Preview & Analysis System
ROAD MASSTER II

The Road MASSter II was developed by Intelligent Computer Solutions Inc., a leader in data acquisition tools worldwide, for US law enforcement to be able to have everything they need to seize evidence on the road. The product, which will be launched April 2004, has everything you would need to make forensically sound data copies and examine the suspects hard drive while on location, while maintaining the integrity of the copied data using advanced hashing methods such as CRC32, SHA1, SHA2 and MD5.

The Road MASSter II unit allows high speed data transfers between the following interfaces: FireWire, USB, UDMA IDE 2.5” & 3.5”, Serial ATA, FDD, CDR/DVD drive, 1GIGA Network, USB Memory stick or Ultra SCSI. Examine either the suspects’ hard drive or evidence hard drive or copy the hard drive directly under Windows XP. Choose between Multi Capture-LinuxDD format, Single Capture-100% of disk or RAID Capture and then choose from 3 different read back verifies. An audit trail report can be saved to memory or can be printed to use as evidence in court. The unit also enables the investigator to wipe out the external hard drive before capture, or the remainder of the drive after acquisition, to DoD specs.

Built for the road with a rugged, well protected case and wheels for easy transport. This unit has a Pentium 4 3.2GHz board, 2GB RAM & a 60GB 7200RPM internal hard drive with XP Pro. It also has a 15” TFT color LCD display and keyboard.

Intelligent Computer Solutions, established in 1990 in California and developed the technology used today for high-speed hard drives duplicators (US Patent 6,131,141). In the mid nineties the company began working with law enforcement agencies to develop tools that can copy suspects’ hard drives quickly and efficiently to eliminate the need to confiscate suspects’ work stations and risk changing or destroying the content of hard drive while analyzing their information. This led to a wide range of seizure, analysis and write-protection devices that is being used today by both local and federal law enforcement agencies all over the world.

Jimmy Doyle retired Sergeant of the Computer Crime Unit of the NYPD had this to say about ICS and their products. "ICS was one of the first vendors to assist Law Enforcement in the field of computer crime. Since 1996, ICS has worked with the NYPD and HTCIA to develop a forensic tool at their own cost. ICS has always been a friend to law enforcement and is the best example of industry working with Law Enforcement as we enter this new era of combating Technology Crime."
